Marijampole Hospital is a public, non-profit institution situated in Marijampole town in Lithuania. It provides a high-quality ambulatory, stationary health care and consultation services to the local community and surrounding area.

Marijampole Hospital has a staff of 747 employees: 179 doctors, 282 nurses, 25 biomedicine diagnostic specialists, 2 dietitians, 2 pharmacists and others. Annual provision of around113,000 ambulatory consultations at Marijampole Hospital is witnessed.

At the hospital of 307 beds about 11 000 in-patients undergo treatment and some 3000 operations are performed every year.

The hospital has 13 departments and 2 units. It provides a full range of services: day surgery, emergency department services, inpatient and outpatient services, early rehabilitation, maternity and children‘s services.  We also provide a number of specialized services, including neurology, orthopaedics and traumatology, cardiology, gastroenterology, infectiology, obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmology, psychiatry, resuscitation and critical care, physical medicine and rehabilitation, otorhinolaryngology, urology, endocrinology, radiology, pulmonology, neanotology services.

The Day Surgery Unit enables patients to come into hospital, have an operation or procedure, recover, and go home on the same day. Many types of surgery and procedures are provided on a daily basis, using either general or local anaesthesia. These include: Ear, nose and throat, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Urology, General surgery, Ophthalmics.

Marijampole Hospital organizes personnel qualification and training courses on regular basis. It has succeeded in creating the best conditions for medical students and residents. The Hospital actively participates and implements EU funded projects that allow to re-new facilities, enhance the quality of services and work conditions to employees.

Newly renovated Children‘s Emergency and Department of  Pediatric are fully equiped with modern furniture and medical devices. The enthusiastic team of emergency trained doctors and nurses provide prompt and professional care 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Highly qualified specialist knowledge and wide diagnostic possibilities allow for diagnosis and effective treatment of various diseases.

Marijampole Hospital is a Baby-friendly Hospital. It has achieved the Baby-friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) accreditation and successfully implements the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding protecting, promoting and supporting breastfeeding. Every year, over 400 babies are delivered at Marijampole Hospital,  making it the hospital of choice for many in the community.
